In Amharic, ‘Megenagna’ means ‘a place where people come to meet.’ Megenagna Ethiopian Restaurant of Seattle has indeed created a cozy place where people meet—and eat!
We were raised in a family of respected restaurateurs in Addis Abeba, and developed our passion for cooking early. With our desire to open a restaurant realized, we are now in full swing—serving Seattle our traditional and delicous Ethiopian food.
In addition to delicious preparations of more common Ethiopian cuisine, try our Chechebsa (a spiced Pita), Spaghetti, Dulet (Liver), Foul, and Lamb Tibs—made with locally raised lamb. All Ethiopian coffee served at Megenegna is freshly roasted in-house.
A wide variety of domestic and Ethiopian beers and wines are available—and Megenegna also serves traditional Ethiopian Tej (honey wine).
